"The Dudes" Pant-Planters®
Since the Spring of 2004, "The Dudes Pant Planters®" have become a "conversation pieces", bringing smiles and memories to parents and grandparents that see their little ones reflected on them.
For Iván and Emiliano (Gabriela's and Rodrigo's children), "The Dudes are our ..." half-brothers and sisters" :)
THEY ARE MADE TO MAKE YOU SMILE 😊
The Dudes make a wonderful, exclusive and unique gift. They are crafted with recycled kids' clothing and shoes. The legs are made with wood, cutout in the shape and the size of that particular "Dude".
The plant holders are plastic with a plate inside so your "Dude" won't look like "it had an accident" 😊
MORE IDEAS FOR "THE DUDES"
You may think... "no, I'm not good with plants"..., Well, they don't have to be used exclusively as plant holders, they can be cookie or candy holders, or a pencil holder or even a toilet paper roll holder for your bathroom!.
Use your imagination, enjoy and have fun :)
We, Gabriela and Rodrigo Díaz Capt are both graphic designers originally from Argentina. We came to the United States in 2001. We have two boys: Iván and Emiliano.
The idea came to me while I was folding up one of my outgrown toddler's little jeans.
"I have to do something with this..., it is so cute!"
I held the little jean and put some flowers on them. With my husband, Rodrigo, we started working on a design that would allow the jeans to stand properly and hold a plant at the same time. And that is how we created "The Dudes Pant Planters®".
As we became more experienced with the structures and materials, we were able to come up with many variations and different positions.
This allowed us to combine endless possibilities making each of "The Dudes Pant Planters®" a unique and special piece with its own character.
The slogan "Made in the USA by Argentinian hands", is an everyday reminder where we came from, and the love we feel for our new home.
Once upon a time...
